How can you share information and learn about what other states, communities and programs are doing to help youth?

The Federal Government supports several Communities of Practice on specific youth topics to help you connect with others in your community and across the Nation.

Transition-Age Youth

The Solutions Desk for Transition-Age Youth is focused on building strong local, state, and federal collaborations for the benefit of all youth who experience challenges in transitioning to adulthood. The Solutions Desk supports a comprehensive website on issues relevant to transition-age youth and the organizations that serve them. The Solutions Desk also supports monthly conference calls and webinars with local and state groups on topics of interest – such as positive youth development, housing, employment, and more. To sign up for calls, email the Solutions Desk at solutionsdesk@ou.edu. To learn more, visit the Solutions Desk website.

Youth Violence

The Striving To Reduce Youth Violence Everywhere (STRYVE) website (www.safeyouth.gov) is a place to watch videos, learn from experts, and find resources that enable you and your community partners to plan, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive youth violence prevention effort. The Take Action section of the website offers online workspaces and tools to use as you move step-by-step through the process of meeting your community's needs and priorities for preventing youth violence and to connect to other communities preventing youth violence. To learn more, visit the Take Action section of the STRYVE website.

Youth Workforce Development

The Youth Connections Community of Practice is intended to foster collaboration and problem solving among youth practitioners who seek to advance youth workforce development. To learn more, visit the Youth Connections Community of Practice website.
