Celebrate AmeriCorps Week
The fourth annual AmeriCorps Week, taking place May 8-15, 2010, provides the perfect opportunity for AmeriCorps members, alums, grantees, program partners, and friends to shine a spotlight on AmeriCorps and to motivate more Americans to serve. The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act has set a bold vision of expansion, impact, and innovation for AmeriCorps, and momentum for national service has never been stronger. Individuals and organizations with a special interest in AmeriCorps—especially, members, programs, and alums—are encouraged to use their creativity to mark the week in any way they see fit. The choice is up to you!
What are YOU doing for AmeriCorps week? Here are some tips to get you started:
- Make a presentation
- Produce a video...or take a picture!
- Stock up on AmeriCorps Week resources
- Blog about your AmeriCorps experience
